Ever since Diablo blew the doors off of action-RPGs, we've seen a slew of imitators and emulators. Darkstone, Lionheart, Anachronox, Asheron's Call, Neocron--the list goes on for a while. Some owe their origins more to Japanese console titles, and others at least offer a first-person perspective.
